Another beautiful birthday bouquet, I was so pleased
Quality flower shop, Beautiful bouquet made up while I waited. Friendly and attentive staff. Prices a bit steep but quality and presentation of flowers made up for that. Little gem of a shop tucked away in the head street end of Crouch Street.
Hi all,I am not the one to leave a review normally but in this occasion I felt that I needed to. I contacted Dilly's Florist at Colchester for a carnation teardrop funeral flower, after liking the original photo what I saw online. After picking the carnation teardrop I was left in shock. The photo was very different to what I was given, I grew up in a florist family and I was a little disappointed due to this order was for my nans funeral.The original photo was a smaller teardrop, so I ordered an extra large one which cost me 70. The amount of Pink Gerberas used in the photo was the same amount used in the extra large one, Chico palm(green leaf) was used for mine (bottom of the teardrop) when in the original photo Arachniodes was used, my carnation teardrop was filled with white gyps (baby breathes) to fill in gaps (a very cheap option) Finally, a teardrop sponge was supposed to be used to get an actual tear drop shape, however in this case a square sponge was used which explains why my teardrop flower doesn't look like a teardrop.After leaving the shop, I called and explained that what I saw online and what I was given was not the same, the lady speaking explained they had to follow a procedure of how many stems of flowers they used, the photo was a smaller one and looked fuller. I mean it didn't make sense, as you expect for something to look bigger and fuller when you spend that extra money? Instead of the teardrop being filled with white baby breathes. The lady also said please come back and I'm happy to put some more pink carnations or Gerberas but that's what it's meant to be. I drove off as I had to travel to South London for the funeral and I had no time to waste.Overall, for funeral flowers I do not recommend Dillys florist due to my experience, I was upset as this was for my nan who passed.If Dillys have a explanation for this, I'll like to hear about it.
I am clueless when it comes to flowers so their helpful advice was invaluable to me. I popped in to pick up the flowers before catching the train to visit my mum who is unwell at the moment, so I appreciated them having everything ready when they said they would. My mum used to be a florist and she was very happy with the bouquet! Can't fault them really.
The lovely florists at Dillys supplied all flowers for my daughters wedding- they were stunning. Service throughout was excellent including how on the weddings day Dillys put delivery back as late as they could to ensure that the flowers were as fresh as possible in the extreme temperatures that we were experiencing.Cant recommend them highly enough
