I am so glad I live the internet age and I have the means to look at the performance of solicitors beforehand. These people certainly do not have their finger on the pulse at all.Frankly , I can not believe some of the reviews I'm reading but they are unhappy for a reason.My Daughter and son-in-law are divorcing and we are researching a suitable solicitor for her. I can assure you it will not be FJG. However , I will be slipping an FJG card in with his belongings. My daughter will probably get the lot . LOL
My service was so bad I will never be able to recover financially in my life. The poor service that I received from these people is an understatement. approximates 20k for the divorce and when they made fatal blunders and I complained I received five lines in a reply bouncing the blame ball back to me. I was then cut dead after my money ran out , very convenient. My ex wife thanked MY solicitors ,,,, Really ,,,, That should have been my job surely. My ex wife had a degree in a totally different field but managed to successfully out wit these people all the way . I have had to forward a formal complaint to the legal ombudsman but they have quite a back log , They didn't say if they all related to FJG LOL.My advice is stay away and avoid and that opinion is based on my own experiences. I seem to recall already posting a negative review some time ago ....... Its disappeared,,,,,, Funny that !!!!!. H Barnard
I normally resort to Google for a positive feedback. This is my first ever negative feedback on Google, that is , sadly, accurate and true. I am very disappointed that they have missed simple calculation from the previous owner resulting in me as a buyer having to pay rent to the tenant to leave! Despite the professional service initially, once the problem occurred that I clearly pointed out before the exchange they took no action. Furthermore, once the exchange was complete, they would not respond to calls or emails. Their complaint procedure via the senior partner was not helpful other than a reply with the same figures and outcome as his colleague. I am having to go through the legal ombudsman to claim back the lost moneys. I would avoid their service since they are not able to cope with any of their errors or shortfalls. I will put another feedback once my complaint takes place with more details and names.3/1/19. They admitted the mistake after having a third partner investigate. They wrote to the old owner and that was it ! they did not follow it up nor pursue it. I have had to submit my grievance against FJG to the legal ombudsman yesterday following a lengthy phone discussion with a representative from the ombudsman. I will update this in due course. It has been 9 months, this is appalling.
They are stupit Solister ever.they toke 6000 pound from me.now they say we can't act behalf you. I ask why they told me confidential. They toke my 6000
Simple non contested divorce. Was quoted 5,000 to 7,000 maximum. They have a fixed fee with exclusions at 6,000 but was advised that this simple case it would be better on as and when. No joint property, mortgage or pensions, sorted at first financial hearing then billed over 9,400. Took over four months to get full breakdown to see double billed, charged for work not requested or needed, exaggerated times.Mr Yenn never calls back to discuss. Just what you need after a very stressful time. Steer clear!!! By the way, this is the second review and somehow first review vanished mmmmmm And the saga continues....... They took me to court over a petty amount. County court went through their ledger against the crazy amount of time they said they spent on a simple non contested divorce costing over 9k. Result....... court were smarter than me, found incorrect time to ledger of over 230, agreed they thought time was excessive but couldn't prove that time was not spent but did agree that so called 'professional' it did seem unrealistic and ordered refund of another 500. Do yourself a favour and stay away from family division of FJG in Colchester. Nothing but unorganized mess.
