Had a complete break down in communication with my ex partner over our son but the mediator was fantastic and shifted through all the rubbish to get to the heart of the problem to move it forwards. Thank you so much.
Well about 600 pound spent on mediation what a waste of money ! I felt like I needed another mediator to help me deal with the so called mediator who was basically telling me I should be doing everything lawyer told me I dont have to do,Only good for c100 form the woman I had was clearly stuck in her old time ways and forgets this is 2018 and fathers should have equal parenting responabiltys To top it of me and my ex partner came to agreement which was good for both partys and the mediator decided to come up with a idea that threw a spanner in it and we were back to square one ( great mediation there ) We actually sat down afterwards and spoke together alone without this mediator and sorted things out better she was no help what so ever
Just my opinion of Essex Mediation;The 'Mediator' had no intention in listening to the dads requests. I attended the MIAM prepared with a parenting plan and contact schedule for mum to reside over. As soon as i mentioned 'equal shared parenting' I was told to lower my expectations by the mediator. Quote: "You need to lower your expectations, 50/50 is uncommon and you shouldn't expect it".... until that point, i was of the opinion the 'Mediator' was someone to aid discussions, not shut them down before they begin!Essex Mediation (in my opinion) have no interest in finding solutions, they are purely financially focused, knowing their services are needed before section 14 of the C100 is signed by them to say 'mediation was attempted but no mutual agreement was found.Note: i only gave 1 star because 0 isn't an option!
I wouldnt recommend this service as the person conducting it agreed with the other party and when a complaint was made no follow up was made or compensated. Waste of money
