We have been leaving our two cats here for the last few years. Left them here most recently at Christmas and found it had changed hands. We were both very impressed with the new owner and the improvements she has made. When we collected our boys they were very content and happy. This lady clearly knows and understands cats. The charges were very reasonable and the service was excellent.
We have been using ABC cattery for more than 20 years. Recently it changed hands, and frankly I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. We had booked our cats in months ago, and double checked back in May if all fine. On turning up yesterday not only did we find the booking had been cancelled, but we're met with a torrent of aggressiveness. These people are not animal lovers, and I wouldn't leave a cockroach with them. We found a new, closer and better cattery at the last minute, thankfully. Avoid these guys like the plague!PS note that Geraldine sold the cattery to there people in August, so all reviews prior to August are for the old owners. Anything subsequent are for the new (terrible) owners.
Booked my cats in Jan 2018, for my Dec 2018 holiday. I used the cattery again June 2018 (under old ownership) and my cats were still booked in for December. Went to drop them off two weeks ago (on the day I was flying) and was met by a very rude owner and her side kick stating I was not booked in and there were no spaces. They then proceeded to be verbally abusive to me and slammed the door right where my cat was in her travel basket. These people are not fit to run a cattery, have no care for animal welfare - cats are distressed enough having travelled in a car. I would not recommend anyone leaving a beloved pet with them. Have just read two previous very recent reviews and they have had the exact same experience. The stress of finding alternative accommodation at such short notice was stressful for all three of my cats and me but was worthwhile. I found a superb cattery where I was met by a lovely lady who helped out immediately. I dont think I would have left my cats with Ardleigh boarding cattery even if they had spaces. They are a disgrace, they dont care about cats at all!
I've left my cat there on two occasions for a week at a time. He is very well looked after and a happy cat upon pick up. Owner is lovely and very helpful. The site is always clean and tidy! This is now my go to cattery.
