I hired A 7.5 tone lorry to move house from their Colchester branch for 277.99 for 2 days reasonably priced. When picking up the vehicle it came with no fuel so had to fill up. No problem I put just 15 of diesel as I was only doing about 12 mike's in it. No problem with the lotte it was in good condition with just a few scratches all that were noted, but on returning the vehicle they said it had 3/4 of a tank of fuel when I first drive it away, total rubbish it was empty I told them it was empty and had photographed the mileage and fuel reading from dash on my phone and again when returned it. Explaining how could I use 3/4 of a tank of fuel doing 12 miles. They said no more about it someone on a fiddle I feel.
I hired a 7.5 ton vehicle from global vehicle hire on the Westside centre of London road Colchester and while the vehicle was superb for what I required the issue was with certain members of the the office staff.when I ordered the vehicle I phoned to reserve and asked at the time what identification would need to be brought with us when we collected the lorry and was instructed that we needed the correct licence and 2 forms of ID with my sons address on it has he would be the driver and told any form of ID would be acceptable so we took his latest council tax bill and his mobile phone bill printed out only to be told that this wasnt valid.the mix up seems to be the contrasting training given to the reception staff where you get different answers to questions .so be aware to take bills (who gets bills these days when everything is online) with at least your last two years address on it.clarification is a wonderful thing when it works
Charged 400 pounds for a bumper scuff and acted like I was being unreasonable to dispute repair costs. Use with extreme caution or go to enterprise
