I've been parking in St Mary's multi-storey for over 20 years. As carparks of this type go, it is safe and well laid out - no hair-raising ramps to negotiate. They recently changed it from pay-on-exit to pay-and-display, which means you have to decide in advance how long you plan to be in town. The carpark is conveniently located, with the town centre only a 5 minute walk away. There is plenty of provision for disabled parking and an accessibility ramp. However, there are no parent-and-child spaces. Prices are salty but not extortionate.Edit: forget trying to park here if you don't have a wave and pay card! Also, they've closed the staircases and it has a very decrepit feel. Not nice, but hey, it's a carpark.
Convenient. Situated on the nicer side of town, so I always park there. Narrow parking spaces due to pillars. Shame they changed it to "pay an display" from the previous "pay as you leave", as we would have stayed longer on several occasions.
Expensive car park. But not the most expensive. Was better when it was pay on exit.
Very convenient for town, only a 2 minute walk either via the bridge or a few minutes longer by the pedestrian crossing. It is very convenient for the Mercury Theatre too. Word of warning - the stench of urine is close to overpowering in the stairwells.
Good price. Full of homeless people in the stairwells which frightened my daughter. Not their fault I know.
