Lovely place, my son goes there for swimming lessons & I am enjoying gym classes & Aqua springs. Best value for money!
At this leisure world It was 6.60 to get in witch is kind good but not really its one pool, two slides and a outdoor rapids area.(thats only open for 4 hours(12:30-4:30))Were closed at 4pm no reason given by the manager And the slides (10am -5:30pm)were the same closed early 5pm no reason given by lifeguards My friend was being bullied by a younger kid Kicked in the back grabbed and forced under water punched in the head and called a potato face We went to lifeguards 2 times before the manger came over and said Im giving you all a warning if you mess around any more I will kick you out the kid kept messing around jumping in to the indoor rapids. We saw the manger escort the kid out we assumed the kid had left but 20 minutes later he said hi like nothing happened to us and was then following us around the pool so we just left and went to the McDonalds over the road Im would give it two stars but since some one decided that the pool would be a great place to relieve themselves we were all Evacuated from the pool and the staff were cleaning up the Mess I do feel sorry for them
thoroughly enjoyed myself especially the rapids however pools were a bit cold and slides need a good clean but what can u expect from a big swimming centre. also need to improve the parking for the leisure centre itself - was stuck for 45 minutes trying to get out. will be returning tho
This place needs a good clean. Pools are actually good but the state of the changing rooms needs attention. I found a vent that was so clogged with dust and filth it must have been a few years old. And at 26.50 for a family ticket i expected more. Will not be returning.
Very good facilities and so much fun. Lifeguards were very friendly and helpful. I had experienced a horrific injury whilst swimming in the lazy river. Whilst I was in first aid, very worried indeed, the lifeguard was very kind and helpful. She had a polite conversation with me which took my mind right of my injury. Also while I was in first aid a shaken up boy came in with a cut open knee which was from a sharp part of the end of the rapid. I thoroughly enjoyed the rapids and slides at Leisure World as did my friend and every other participator. The hot tubs where very enjoyable and the temperatures of the baby pools where very suitable for a young age. The only negative that I came across was the busy parking and queuing to get in and out. I overheard a lovely woman who complained that it took her 35 hole minutes to get out of the car park, as she dropped off her two girls for a swim. Although I do understand that the business could have been due to all of the Saturday afternoon activities that the public where attendingThank you to all of the Colchester leisure centre staff for making me feel very welcome. In addition I will be attending this centre again.
