Oh my god what a location. Amazing pub. Amazing looking, good beer and fair prices
Overpriced forgettable food.We had Christmas lunch at the Old Siege House. Let me start with what I liked. The pros: They had an apple crumble with amaretto that was quite nice. The building is lovely. I struggle with overeating at Christmas. This lunch was quite helpful as it was ok but wasn't moreish. The cons: this place was freezing when we arrived and did not feel comfortable when we left. The elderly lady beside us was next to the fire that they lit after serving the starters, but she was still so cold she wore her coat throughout the meal. I had contacted the restaurant to cancel the reservation a month in advance and they would not refund the deposit (105), so we went ahead with the Christmas lunch. The third person for the lunch could not join, and I already anticipated we'd have to pay for their lunch, but they added insult to injury by insisting on delivering the extra courses to the table. Then, despite paying for three meals that included prosecco they charged for the third glass.I will not revisit their establishment.
Very nice restaurant. We have been twice now for our friends Christmas meal each year. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere
Absolutely fantastic, if you need somewhere for a special meal go here!!!!Fantastic food, I mean really fantastic!! Brilliant service, kind and very welcoming, couldn't fault at all. You feel special every time!Well worth the visit!!
Excellent menu and excellent staff.Food was delicious and very well cooked with a wide range of dishes to choose from. Fantastic wine and alcohol list as well. A shame to see only one vegan dish on the menu and the deserts are a little disappointing but everything else was superb. Definitely would recommend going here for a nice meal out.
