Audi A7 bought February 2018After developing a major gearbox fault in April 2018, I contacted James at Velvis Cars. I found him to be extremely courteous and helpful. He directed me, quite correctly towards the warranty company. However, after a serious of misadventures, loop jumping and false starts with them I again contacted Velvis cars for assistance. They immediately apologised for my experience with the warranty company and offered to cover all diagnostic costs. I was seeking support but after speaking to Steve, discovered that they took their responsibility as the dealership and supplier of vehicle very seriously and asked for me to return the car to them to address. I left the car with Andrew at Velvis on a Sunday where they generously provided me with a courtesy car. The fault exceeded the warranty companys cap and even then they dissected the quote obtained to the nth degree. Velvis did not hesitate to step in to finance the gap.My car was gone for nearly 4 weeks, which I believe is excessive but this was down to a series of factors including; warranty companys demands, third parties not being available throughout and a severe lack of communication from all parties outside Velvis and myself.Cars are complex beasts and second hand ones can be a minefield, I understand that perfectly well having bought a few lemons in my time. However, I can honestly say that I have never experienced a more rewarding and reassuring journey as a buyer as I have with Velvis cars. They exceeded all expectations and I will definitely class myself as a repeat customer moving forward.I have now had the car back for a few months and the fault has not risen its ugly head again and the car drives fantastically.
