so me and my partner used William h brown st johns to purchase our first home, they made the process easy, relaxing and gave us all the support we needed.I highly recommend their mortgage services, the lady who helped us was so lovely and helpful! I had no clue about a mortgage but she took the time to explain every step to us (thank you for being patient with us) Sophie and her team are amazing! they couldn't have done more to help us get moved into our new home. 100% I will be coming back to in the future!
My husband and I were first time buyers. And we had no idea where to start and the whole ideal of buying a house was quite scary and confusing. I did try to go to different banks and other mortgage advisers but didn't find them very helpful. As unfortunately being both self-employed, we are not open to many options. However we were luckily recommended to Lisa Catling, the mortgage advisor stationed at Willam H Brown at that time. And with her help and expertise in the field, she made the whole process a lot smoother and easier. She was so friendly, helpful, reasonable, and professional at the same time. She assisted us from begging to the end, and we managed to put down an offer and exchange contract within a month!!! (From April to May this year) We were very astonished and pleased and couldn't thank you Lisa enough. So we have been recommending her to anyone we know that is looking to get onto the property ladder. And Lisa if you ever come across this feedback, we are forever grateful to you and wish you all the best.
Telephoned Thursday afternoon, wanted to a view a property, everyone was busy on the phone, promised a call back. W. H. B. close at 6pm so at 5:50, not having received a call, decided I would call them. No answer, no message machine. Here I am at 5:20pm on Friday, like a mug, still waiting for a call. So unprofessional. Its the people relying on this excuse for a company to sell their property I feel sorry for.
I would like to leave a review of my dealings with sequences regional manager Rob Jenner of renting a property from him- we signed a years contract in September through William h brown after asking for 2 years but this was refused, our moving in date was 23rd September & on the 18th September we were told this had to be pushed back to the 30th with less than a weeks notice not only impacting us & the tenants due to be moving into our previous property with no explanation other than Rob wasnt able to get painting done the weekend before so we were to put up with it or be refunded & not move less than a week before our old tenancy was ending! since moving in we have had to ask for some repairs to be carried out for example live wires under the kitchen sink, heaters not working & a faulty electric shower box which I quote the electrician said we were about a week away from a fire or someone getting hurt, 2 weeks ago the washing machine broke & I have been chasing since then after having somebody out to confirm it wasnt a blockage or anything we had done the drum has broken this has still not been fixed or much contact as to when I can expect not to be without a washing machine with 2 working adults & a 2 year old child in the property & all while this isnt done we have been served notice to leave the property after asking for an update on the washing machine( no update on machine being fixed!) I think its disgusting from someone who works in this industry to treat their tenants this way so I recommend not renting from their employees maybe their landlords might hopefully care about their tenants safety not just making money. I would add we have always paid our rent & the property is in a cleaner condition than we were given this
If you want to sell your property DO NOT use this agency. This company operates under a system of sharp practice which in my case meant that they succeeded in increasing the agreed 1.5% fee by ticking the wrong box (which I didn't notice) and charging a fixed fee. They never answer emails or return phone calls. They also did not send the Terms and conditions with the contract and then when I terminated the contract they stated they did send them and sent me a "doctored" copy of the contract, which made it look like they did send them. In addition, after terminating the contract, they removed the property from their website and Right move without my consent or knowledge whilst they had stated that they would continue to market it for the one month notice period. I could go on, but its too complicated! Dreadful company headed up by a young and shameful manager.
