Lovely place. Friendly staff. Food good and nice bar. Downside is that the bathrooms are tiny. To use the sink you have to stand to the side of the toilet. They really need to be a bit wider than the width of the shower tray!!
Had our work Christmas meal here, food was served quickly and looked amazing, all staff were friendly, approachable and very helpful. The girl at the main bar dealt amazingly with the 3 different parties there until we were seated, everyone was served quickly and the small bar that they opened once the dance started was great as well. Nothing but good things too say, will definitely go again.
Beautiful building from the outside with a welcoming reception and a roaring fire to meet you in the bar. Rustic listed feeling followers you through the hotel to your room where the bedroom was lovely. I had read mixed reviews about the baths but after a long day the bathroom was modern, clean and relaxing. Overall I'm happy and impressed with the value of the experience.
Good hotel, lovely clean room. Good breakfast. Our only criticism is that we didn't have a great night's sleep due to the traffic and pedestrian noise outside. The windows are secondary glazed but unfortunately it still kept us awake but obviously not a lot can be done about that. Hotel full of original interesting character.
A comfortable relaxed bar. Good quality cooked breakfast. Unfortunately make sure there isn't a wedding during your stay. I write this after 11pm, sat in my room able to hear every word of each song played downstairs perfectly and loudly.
