The room was immaculate but it was completely ruined by the fact it was so noisy. Loud, live music from the neighbouring pub which was still going strong past 11.30pm, combined with road noise made this a bit of a nightmare stay. My colleague on the other side of the hotel found it just as noisy. Lovely rooms, and a great stay if you're happy to not go to bed until midnight. So sad, because the rooms are lovely.
Stayed in St Nicholas Hotel as the George Hotel was being upgraded. The hotel room itself is great, modern, and clean, typically what you would expect of a 3 star hotel. HOWEVER, here are the things that annoys me:1. There is no reception in the lobby. You have to cross the road, walk a bit to George hotel.2. No toothbrush, body lotion, bath robe or toilet amneties other than soap amd shampoo.3. No room telephone, so in case you need anything, well, refer to point 1. Ans the receptionist at George hotel said St. Nicholas doesnt have reception...which is weird as it states in the website that it is an extension to George Hotel.
