Small friendly pub good for karaoke
It does the job. The room and service were fine (though unspectacular). I was attending a wedding at the hotel next door, so the location was excellent and the walk to the town centre was about 15 minutes or so. Check-in is from 4pm and the hotel is closed/unmanned until then, so you can't really drop your bags early. Bummer.

I come here regularly, and I cant speak high enough, Im always looked after well by the staff. Food is served on a Tuesday and Thursday. On nights when food is not served you can get food from the Chinese opposite and consume on the premises. The Karaoke is every other Friday. Also is very handy for Colchester United F.C and Colchester zoo.
