This pub is a waste of space in the Colchester night life, went to go to their karaoke night on Saturday at 11pm on a whim , sat down and sung a long to half a song, right after the song was finished my friend and I where appoched by a behemoth of a woman (the owner I believe) who bellowed on the mic to the whole pub that my friends and me buy a drink or get out of the pub no sooner than we had arrived, seriously amazing way to drive out you potential customers. 30 seconds later a self entitled balding man with the charisma of a half eaten packet of ready salted walkers crisps made the same demands and wanted to escort us out if we dont comply, so we did, we walked out, l if you want to feel like you entered a run down version of EastEnders then this is the place for you, if you have and self respect then I would advise going anywhere else. Seriously ANYWHERE ELSE.
Always have beer on never have ran out, friendly staff,dont do card payments but cash point nearby, have darts and pool
Lovely little pub thats been here as long as I can remember. Efficient barstaff that always seem to have a smile for you and nothing is too much. Pop in for a pint!
Had a real good time here tonite landlord and landlady are so very kind and friendly atmosphere was relaxing kareoke was good and the dj was fair and also very friendly but don't take the landlady and landlord for granted they know how to run a pub and if u disrespect or be disrespectful they are soon to tell you so good andlording super people super pub thoroughly enjoyed it tonite want a nice pub good people and landlords then pop down and go enjoy urself u will never feel alone in there always a welcome smile xx
